Holistic therapy is a generic term for any treatment that is intended to treat the individual as a whole (mind, body and spirit).

There is a continuing debate over the use of ultra violet rays on the skin, particularly the sustained use for the production or maintenance of a tan. Sun exposure is known to dehydrate the skin, destroy collagen and elastin fibres and as a result cause premature ageing and is a proven factor in the cause of skin cancer. However, for many people the cosmetic and psychological benefits of a year round tan, out weigh the possible hazards.
